This is a project close to my heart ie coming together as a community around the fire.
Back in September 2025 I was on a fire quest that has changed my relationship with the fire and has been transformational for my life journey and trajectory.
Connecting with the power of fire as ancient medicine for holding a sacred space, building community, strengthening our sense of belonging to mother Earth and each other. After arriving whilst the fire is starting, we will have a few simple rituals to fit with the seasons or the full moon. Then we can enjoy some poems or songs and some light refreshments as the sun goes down.
Come and join these evening events around the Fire 🔥 at Racehill community orchard in Whitehawk near Woodingdean. It’s a beautiful site with a sea view and much wild life run by the Brighton Permaculture Trust.
If you are interested you can sign up to a WhattsApp group to get all the info about the fire circles events and any last minute cancellation due to the weather as there is no shelter.

Dear Chiara, it was lovely being in community celebrating Beltane together. Very new for me to go to such gatherings and it's such a nice thing to connect with each other where we may never do so in our daily lives. For someone who is socially awkward and a bit nervous, it's a lovely way to step outside my comfort zone and meet my edges. You've made me very comfortable, and welcomed. And you brought Lily of the Valley on the day I longed for them, such a lovely serendipity moment.
Discovering this gem of garden on the edge of the city, just marvelous! Thank you for introducing me to this little bit of paradise. Glad I came and intend to attend more of your lovely offerings. Thanks
